The Town of Rye, with the Friends of Crawford Park, is proud to announce that the new Playground is open for action! The new equipment and play-set was funded by a NYS Grant which provided for accessible equipment for disabled children.
The Pavilion has also been renovated and has a new kitchen and ADA-Compliant bathrooms!
The Pathways and Sensory Garden are now completed and open for use!
It’s been a long process, but the renovations are finally complete. New windows, doors and updated HVAC system were installed, vastly improving energy efficiency throughout the building. The original historic assets were not only preserved, but a spectacular fireplace in a main floor hall has been discovered and restored. Along with the modernization, ADA Compliant features have been built out in all bathrooms, and an elevator was installed outside the Entrance Hall.
